I Won the Alumni Award: Architecture + Culture Award

Thrilled to be awarded the Alumni Award: Architecture + Culture at the University of Hertfordshire Architecture End of the Year Show 2023!

Grateful to receive this recognition for my project “RePlasticity: Igniting Change in Makoko through Recycling and Learning,” which explores a comprehensive upcycling and recycling system that effectively manages and repurposes plastic waste in Makoko. I extend my heartfelt thanks to Josip Pijevic for presenting me with this award, your work has been a constant inspiration throughout my Master of Architecture and Urbanism journey.

As I look forward to the next chapter of my architectural journey, I am excited to pursue a Part 2 architectural assistant position. My aim is to continue exploring the intersection of architecture and sustainability, contributing to transformative projects that positively impact our built environment.

I am immensely grateful for the guidance and support I received from my tutors, Simon Knight, Fiona Sheppard and our program leader, Dr. Ian Owen. Your expertise has played a vital role in shaping my growth as a designer.

I also want to express my sincere appreciation to my coursemates, my amiable wife and family for their unwavering support throughout this exhilarating journey. Your belief in my abilities has been a constant source of inspiration, and I am immensely grateful for your presence in my life.

Congratulations to all the talented participants and winners at the show. Together, let’s continue pushing boundaries and creating a future where architecture and culture thrive.
